One of my favorite books in my personal collection is Forbidden Erotica. The true story of the creation of the book begins in the 1980's when one neighbor dies and his belongings are thrown in the trash, only to be recovered by another neighbor in a few, very rewarding dumpster dives. That neighbor, Mark Rotenberg would ultimately save over 1,500 pornographic images from the dump - some of which date back to the 1870's (yeah, your great-greats loved sexy-time as much as you do). Those photographs, collectively called The Rotenberg Collection, were published by Taschen Books as Forbidden Erotica
I have been working with photos taken from the book, to create handmade pieces that speak to the explicit nature of the photographs, while creating what I like to think of as a sweeter take on the images. While my drawings and paintings are made from pornography, but they have a more playful attitude. Here are two images from the book, and the drawings I made of them.

While these examples are of hetero pairings, the book has a number of photographs of queer couples, thruples and more that I'm still looking forward to drawing. My work is available for sale - both the original drawing and art prints made-to-size. If you have pornographic images of yourself or from another resource, I would be happy to talk with you about creating a unique drawing full of sex and a bit of charm.
Be sure to come back next week for another post when I'll show you some of my favorite dicks. <===3
