The Face of Feminism Now: Conversations with Feminists in the Year After the Women's March of 2017
After attending the Women's March in DC, I returned home to NH with a sense of purpose: keep the spirit of the Women's March alive. I wanted to continue to surround myself with positive, affirming and inclusive individuals who all believe in the philosophy of equality - Feminism. And so, I created a survey and asked for volunteers to sit for a portrait while we discuss their experiences with and visions of feminism. The resulting photographs offer an opportunity for viewers to reflect on the many faces of the feminist community in the NH Seacoast area. By reading the words of the models, viewers are invited to join in the dialogue themselves.
**Please join me for a Reception and Artist Talk/Slideshow about the making of this project**
Sat. March 24th 6-9 pm at The Art Center in Dover, NH. There will be time for Q&A after the presentation. This event is free and open to the public.
